Whats the Sumo Name all about?

The Sumo company name and logo not only reflects the big, strong, and heavy duty ethos behind our high quality solutions and products. The Japanese Sumo also embodies many characteristics of our founder Scott! Scott is an accomplished martial artist, competitor, instructor and submission (Catch) wrestler with a big appetite! hence the nickname Sumo Scott! Scott holds black belts or equivalent in several different martial arts and self defence disciplines including Karate, kick boxing, Wrestling and Muay Thai.

Scott hopes that the Sumo Frame System and related products reflect his years of experience developing and refining outdoor kitchen products for top designers and companies in the outdoor living industry. Along with his experience Scott has a burning passion for all things BBQ, street food, and outdoor party! He hopes this passion shines through into the products and solutions we offer.
